Moving Godwards

Ephesians 4:31-32

Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and slander, together with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.

Giving others the benefit of the doubt

Using slights or false accusations

or mischief making

as opportunities 

to choose the better path.

Refusing to repay evil with evil

Choosing, instead

the path that leads us

closer to God

Forgiving because we know forgiveness

Moving on

Not without hurt

or scars

but in the knowledge

that God binds our wounds

and hugs into us

kindness

tender heartedness

and forgiveness.

Seeing the malice of others

as an opportunity by which

God allows growth.

Putting away those things

that take us far

from God.
