Anticipating good

Luke 6:37-38
Judging Others
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”

Just imagine the difference
if we always anticipated good.
If we didn't assume the worst
but expected the best.
If we always gave
the benefit of the doubt.
And, more.
If that anticipation was returned.
If our example
inspired others
to do likewise.
A world without harsh judgement
would be incredible
as people flourish
in a climate of hope.
Experiencing love
and forgiveness
and anticipation
of good.
A world worth diving into
with abandon.
