Just got back from our Early morning Easter celebration, followed by bacon and black pudding rolls. Not sure what draws folk - the service or the breakfast! But its always good to stand around in the fresh morning air with folk who have got up especially early to welcome the risen Christ anew. By the time the light dawned on that first Easter day, Christ had already risen, death had been conquered. Its worth celebrating new every morning. A blessed Easter to you and yours.
He has risen indeed!!Have we too risen in our lives to the christian challenges that face us ? Death has been overcome, so everything else should be easy,or do we still make things hard?Life is for living and celebrating every day that God has given us.Cherish and use your time for others.
ReplyDeleteThe Easter Patriarchal Church: I love the fact that "the women" knew before everyone that Jesus had risen.It seems to me that of all the significant things that were happening, women were always present.Their evidence however was never taken up by the "men".Jesus 2000 years ago was way ahead of his time in equality (As the son of God he should have been ,of course!) It is good to know that even the disciples couldn't multitask :) Happy Easter,Ladies & gentlemen.
