Immaculate conception
virgin birth
angels and shepherds
bright shining stars
wise men and mangers
an angry king
a desperate world
and a baby God
Do you really expect folk
to believe all that?
What a story to tell a world
that longs for good news today.
The only way folk will believe
such a fanciful tale
is if they can see the evidence
that God is born
in us
if we can share the love
that came down at Christmas.
