WDOP

"The sun that bids us rest is waking
your children 'neath the western sky
and hour by hour fresh lips are making
your wondrous deeds resound on high"
This hymn: The Day Thou Gavest, has been adopted by the World Day of Prayer. Services were held all over the world today to mark this special day and to pray for the people of Malaysia. I was involved in two of those, one at the local primary school, with 11 year olds, and the other at the church. Both were very special.
The idea that prayer never ceases has always been an exciting prospect for me. To share that with youngsters, who really seemed to grasp the concept was exciting too.
And, having so recently returned from a meet up with women clergy colleagues on the other side of the pond, I give thanks for that worldwide family of God who, together ARE changing the world. Thanks be to God.
