Psalm 103:8
The LORD is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
Anger can be fuel
to prompt us into action
to take notice of injustice
and work for good.
Anger, left unchecked, smoulders
until it bursts into flames of destruction
This day, may our anger be put to good use
May it be tempered with love
May it catch the flame of God’s justice
and make a difference for all the world
beginning where we are.
